The Battery Burnisher has a 90-degree tilt deck and the Propane Burnishers feature the RokBak system which allows you to rock the whole machine back 90 degrees for you to access the pad for easy pad change.
A Burnisher works by spinning a special type of floor pad at high speed to create friction on the floor. The friction causes the heat to mould the polish on the floor back to a smooth level surface, thus creating a good reflection.
Basically there are 2 main reasons for this. Firstly, you don’t want to be burnishing any dirt that is on the floor, as this will penetrate the polish and remain there permanently until the floor is stripped and re-sealed. The second reason is that when cleaning/scrubbing a floor, you will be microscopically creating ‘hills’ and ‘valleys’ in the polish, which will require the burnisher to take it back to smooth and level.
