Proquip proud to support Charity Water to help combat global water crisis
Proquip NZ is proud to announce an ongoing partnership with international not-for-profit organisation Charity Water in its quest to end the global water crisis. In conjunction with our long-standing partner Numatic, we are delighted to be playing our part in contributing towards this incredibly important cause.
This is an incredibly worthy cause and the entire team here at Proquip is thrilled to be part of helping Numatic and Charity Water provide clean drinking water to those in need.
Why Water
Over 750 million people around the globe live without clean water. That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. Most of these people live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their families. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.

Access to clean water means education, income, health – especially for women and kids.

So, just how does Charity Water tackle the water crisis?
Charity Water works with local experts and community members to find the best sustainable solution in each place where they work, whether it’s a well, a piped system, a BioSand Filter, or a system for harvesting rainwater. And with every water point they fund, Charity Water’s partners coordinate sanitation and hygiene training, and establish a local Water Committee to help keep water flowing for years to come.
